7 lbs. cucumbers
1 cup lime
2 gal. water
8-10 c. sugar
1 tbsp. whole alspice
2 tbsp. celery seed
2 sticks cinnomon
2 tbsp. salt
3 pints vinegar
green food color (if desired)

Directions:
Directions:
1ST DAY: Soak sliced cucumbers 24 hours in 1 cup of lime mixed in 2 gallons of water - stir occasionally.
2ND DAY: Rinse in cool water 3 times to remove lime. Soak 3 hours in ice water and drain.
Place in cold syrup made of the above ingredients; add a few drops of food coloring if desired. Soak over night.
3RD Day: Bring to boil and simmer until cucumbers are transparent (about 30-35 minutes).
Place in jars and seal.
