1lb. fresh okra
1/2cup chopped onion
2T shortening
1 pkg. smoked smokies
1/2 tsp salt
1 can rotel tomatoes
cooked rice

Directions:
Directions:
Wash and slice okra. Fry okra and onion in hot shortening until okra is no longer slimy. Cut sausage into 1/2 inch slices and add salt and tomatoes. Cover and simmer 20 minutes. Serve over rice.
