1 c. soft butter
1/2 c. shortening
1-1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs
2-3/4 c. flour
2 tsp. cream of tartar
1 tsp. soda
1/4 tsp. salt
2 tbsp. sugar
2 tsp. cinnamon

Directions:
Directions:
Mix butter, shortening, 1-1/2 cups sugar, and eggs thoroughly. Blend in flour, cream of tartar, soda, and salt. Shape dough by rounded teaspoonful into balls. Chill dough overnight.

Mix 2 tbsp. sugar and cinnamon; roll balls in mixture. Place 2" apart on ungreased baking sheet. Bake at 400 for 8-10 minutes or until set. Immediately remove from baking sheet. Makes about 6 dozen cookies.
