1 c boiling water
3 c all bran
1 c sugar
1/2 c shortening
2 eggs
21/2 c flour
21/2 tsp soda
1/2 tsp salt
2 c buttermilk
3/4 c raisins

Directions:
Directions:
Pour boiling water over 1 cup of all bran cereal, mix and set aside to cool. Cream sugar and shortening until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time beating well. Combine flour, soda and salt and add to cream mixture. Alternate with buttermilk. Blend in the cooled cereal and mix in the remaining 2 cups of all bran. Add raisins. Store in refrigerator until ready to use. Will keep for up to 6 weeks in refrigerator. Bake in muffin tins at 400 for 20 minutes.
