1/2 c. margarine or butter, softened
1/2 c. shortening
2 eggs
2 3/4 c. all-purpose flour
2 tsp. cream of tartar
1 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
2 T. sugar
2 tsps. ground cinnamon

Heat oven to 400 degrees.

Mix 1 c. sugar, the margarine, shortening and eggs thoroughly in 3-quart bowl. Stir in flour, cream of tartar, baking soda and salt until blended. Shape dough by rounded teaspoonfuls into balls.

Mix 2 T. sugar and the cinnamon; roll balls in sugar mixture. Place about 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet.
