1 c flour 2 tsp baking powder 1/2 c sugar 1/2 c melted butter 1/2 c milk
Combine above and put in 8x8x2" baking dish. Spread 2 c fruit or berries on batter. Do not stir. Sprinkle 1 c sugar over fruit. Do not stir. Pour 3/4 c boiling juice over all (can use boiling water added to juice for 3/4 c). Bake at 350º for 45 minutes. Best eaten warm. Add additional 1/2 c sugar over fruit if using gooseberries.
