4 lbs. smoked meat
5 lbs. string beans
Salt, to taste
Pepper, to taste
Sugar, to taste
1 tsp. red pepper flakes
1/4 cup fat back grease
2 lbs. white potatoes, optional

Directions:
Directions:
Rinse meat, add to large pot and cover with water. Boil 1 hour. Add stringbeans and seasonings. Cook for another 1 1/2 hours or until string beans are done. If desired, add peeled and halved potatoes 1/2 hour before completion of cooking. Taste; re-season if necessary.
