3 tbsp. butter
3 tbsp. flour
2 cups milk
salt & pepper to taste

Directions:
Directions:
In sauce pan melt butter, stir in flour small amount at a time and stirring constantly. Cook on medium heat for about 2 minutes. Remove from heat. Pour milk slowly into the flour mixture, stirring constantly. Return to heat, add salt and pepper, Cook on medium, whisking until thickened.

For a Cheese Sauce stir in 1/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese.

(1) Serve sauce over vegetables (2) add to chipped beef or tuna with onion and serve over toast.
