2 tbsp. butter or margarine
2 tbsp. flour
1/2 cup chicken broth or water
1 can (14 oz.) diced tomatoes
1 tsp. sugar
salt & pepper

Directions:
Directions:
Melt butter in a large saucepan or skillet, add flour stirring until smooth. Cook stirring constantly, about 1 minute. add broth or water stirring until smooth. Add tomatoes, sugar, salt and pepper. Cook stirring often 3 to 5 minutes or until thickened.
