4 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
4 tsp. baking powder
2 tbsp. fat
1-1/2 c. water

Directions:
Directions:
Sift flour, salt, and baking powder. Work fat into flour until well blended. Add enough water to make a soft dough, but not sticky. Knead well, let it stand for at least 1/2 hour. Roll out dough very thin (1/8") and cut into 3" squares. Fry in deep fat until brown. Tap with fork against side of pan to make it puff.
