1/2 c shortening
1 1/4 c brown sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
1 1/2 c cooked pumpkin (or canned)
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp ginger
1/2 tsp nutmeg
1/2 tsp cinnamon
4 tsp baking powder
1 c raisins
1 c chopped nuts
2 1/2 c flour

Blend first ten ingredients well. Add remaining ingredients and drop by teaspoon on cookie sheet, then bake for 15 minutes at 400 degrees.
