2 c sugar
1 c butter or shortening
2 eggs
3/4 c cocoa
1/2 c boiling water
1 c sour milk (or buttermilk)
1 tsp soda
dash salt
2 tsp vanilla
flour

Directions:
Directions:
Mix sugar, butter and eggs. Stir in cocoa which has been dissolved in boiling water. Dissolve soda in milk and add. Then add vanilla, salt and enough flour to make a stiff dough. Chill dough for a softer cookie. Bake at 375 degrees for 8 - 10 minutes.
