1 c butter
2 c sugar
3 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
4 c flour
1 tsp soda
1 tsp baking powder
1 c milk (buttermilk, canned milk or sour milk)
Nuts, raisins, or chocolate chips if desired.

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter, sugar, eggs, vanilla. Add dry ingredients alternately with milk. Mix well. Drop on lightly greased cookie sheet. Bake at 375 degrees for 12 minutes. These are a soft cookie.
