1 head lettuce
1 c. diced celery
4 hard-boiled eggs, sliced
1 sweet onion, diced
1/2 c. diced bell pepper
1 10-oz. pkg frozen peas (uncooked)
1 lb. bacon fried crisp, crumbled
1/2 c. shredded cheddar cheese
2 c. Miracle Whip/mayo (Mom stirred 2 tsp of sugar into the Miracle whip)

Directions:
Directions:
Tear lettuce into small pieces in a 9 x 13 glass dish. Layer rest of ingredients in order given (except the cheddar cheese). Add sugar to Miracle Whip (if desired). Spread Miracle Whip/Mayo over top as you would frost a cake. Sprinkle cheddar cheese on top. Cover and refrigerate overnight.
Add or omit other veggies - green onion, cauliflower, etc.
