1/2 c butter
1 c brown sugar
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla
3/4 c crushed pineapple
1/2 c candied cherries
2 c flour
1 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp bakinig soda
1/2 c walnuts

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter and sugar; add egg, vanilla, and blend. Drain pineapple very well, pressing to eliminate juice; add to batter with handful of cherries that have been chopped. Combine dry ingredients and nuts. Stir into creamed mixture. Drop on oiled baking sheet and top each cookie with a bit of cherry. Bake at 375 for 12-15 minutes or until done.
