Ingredients:  
Bits and pieces of leftover ham and hambone, or other seasoning
Medium to large onion, chopped
3 large cans of diced tomatoes
(use one empty can for water)
3 cans water (depending on thickness)
2 cans whole kernel corn
10-oz. bag of frozen okra, or larger, cooked slightly & drained
3-4 potatoes, peeled & chopped in small pieces
Add any other vegetables you like, such as green beans, celery
Salt and pepper to taste

Combine ingredients and bring to a boil; reduce heat and simmer for 1-2 hours.

I loved mother's vegetable soup,but she,of course, didn't use a recipe.I just decided to give it a try, and I hope that my made-up recipe will get you started.You can improvise & make it delicious!
