3/4 c sweet spanish onions, chopped
1/2 c bacon, diced
1 clove garlic, minced
1 pkg dry yeast
1/4 c warm water
1 c warm milk
2 tbsp sugar
3/4 tsp salt
4 to41/2 c flour

Directions:
Directions:
Combine onion, bacon and garlic in skillet and saute until golden. Dissolve yeast in warm water. Add milk, sugar, salt and 2 cups flour. Beat until well blended. Stir in undrained onion, bacon and garlic. Add enough additional flour to make a soft dough. Knead well and let rise in warm place until doubled. Punch down and shape into loaf. Place in greased 9x5 inch loaf pan. Cover and let rise about 1 hour or until doubled in bulk. Bake at 375 45 minutes or until done
