GLAZE AND CRUST:
1/4 C. brown sugar
1 T. butter, melted
1 T. corn syrup
1/2 C. Pecan halves
1 double pie crust

FILLING:2/3 C. sugar
4 C. apples, peeled and sliced
2 T. flour
1/2 t. cinnamon

Directions:
Directions:
Mix the brown sugar, syrup and butter together. Spread evenly over the bottom of a 9" glass or ceramic pie pan. Arrange the pecans over the mixture. Place 1 pie crust over the mixture in the pan. In a small bowl, mix the sugar,flour and cinnamon togetherArraange 1/2 of the apples in thecrust lined pan. Sprinkle with half of the sugar mixture. Repeat with remaining apples and sugar mixture. Top with secod crust. Seal edges and fluute. Cut several slits in crust. Place the pie on a foil covered cookie sheet and bake in a 425 oven for 8 minutes. Reduce oven temperature to 350 and bake 35-45 minutes longer or until apples a tender and crust is golden brown. Remove from he oven and run a knife around the edges of pie to loosen it. Place a large plate over the pie and flip it over. Remove the pan. Serve warm or cold with whipped cream.
