3 and 1/2 to 4 c. four, sifted
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. soda
1 c. margarine
2 c. sugar
4 eggs
1 tbsp. grated orange rind
1/2 c. buttermilk
1 lb. orange slice candy chopped
1 lb. package pitted dates chopped
2 c. walnuts
1 c. pecans (or you can use 3 c. pecans)
1 3-oz. can coconut

Directions:
Directions:
Chop candy, dates and nuts. Add coconut. Set aside.

Cream sugar and margarine. Add eggs one at a time. Blend well. Sift flour, salt and soda and gradually add with buttermilk to batter. Mix well.

Mix all together and pour into floured, greased tube pan and bake for approximately 2 and 1/2 hours at 250 degrees.
