31/2 lbs tomatoes for each quart jar.

Directions:
Directions:
1. Simmer tomatoes in large kettle or dutch oven, stirring often, just until juice is running freely and tomatoes are soft, about 30 minutes.
2. Press through food mill or sieve. Reheat just to boiling. Ladle into hot pint or quart jars. Add 1/2 tsp salt for each pint,, or 1 tsp for each quart.
3. Process in boiling water bath, for 10 minutes for pints, 15 minutes for quarts.
4. Remove jars. Cool; check seals. Label and store in a cool, dark, dry place. Keeps one year.
