2 1/4 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 c. butter
3/4 c. white sugar
3/4 c. brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
1 pkg. (2 cups) chocolate chips
1 c. nuts (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Combine flour, baking soda and salt in a small bowl. Cream butter, sugar and vanilla in a large mixing bowl until creamy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each. Add flour mixture. Stir in chocolate chips and nuts. Drop by rounded tablespoon onto ungreased cookie sheets. Bake in preheated oven at 375 degrees.
