1 c ground suet
1 c molasses
1 c raisins
1 1/2 tsp soda
1/2 tsp allspice
1 c milk
2 eggs
3 c flour
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp cloves
Vanilla Sauce:
1/2 c sugar
1 tbsp corn starch
1 c boiling water
14 tbsp butter
1 tsp vanilla
Sterling Sauce
1/2 c butter
1 c brown sugar
4 tbsp milk or cream
1 tsp vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Mix together. Put in pans or cans. Cover with cloth or foil and pressure or steam for 2 hours.
Vanilla Sauce
Mix sugar and corn starch. Add boiling water and butter. Cook until thick, stirring constantly. Add vanilla.
Sterling Sauce
Mix all ingredients and cook.
