2 lbs. Sauerkraut
1/4 head of shredded cabbage
1 chopped onion
1 cup chicken bouillon
1 bay leaf
1 grated apple or potato
1/2 lb. bacon (fried and cut into small pieces)
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 Tlbs. caraway seed

Directions:
Directions:
Drain and rinse sauerkraut, add onion and bacon (including fat). Next add bay leaf and caraway seed, shredded cabbage, brown sugar. Mix all of this together and put in roaster or crock pot. I add Polish sausage, Brats, Hot dogs or whatever you like. Cook about an hour in oven at 350 or about 4 hours in crock pot. Note add grated apple toward end of cooking time
