2 c flour 2 tsp baking powder 1 tbsp salt 1 tbsp sugar 1 tbsp caraway seed
6 tbsp shortening 1/2 c raisins 1/2 c currants
3/4 c milk
Mix flour, baking powder, salt, sugar and caraway seed. Stir in shortening, raisins, and currants and mix well. Stir in milk. Bake in heavy, buttered frying pan (cast iron is great) for 30-35 minutes at 325º. Test with tooth pick for doneness
