1-1/2 c. sugar
1 c. water
1 c. light corn syrup
1 premium mixed nuts (10-12 oz.)
3 T. butter
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1-1/2 tsp. baking soda

Directions:
Directions:
Butter a cookie sheet. Combine sugar, water and corn syrup in a saucepan. Cook over high heat until mixture reaches 280 on a candy thermometer. Add nuts and cook, stirring until temperature reaches 300, remove from heat. Stir in butter and vanilla until blended. Add baking soda and stir vigorously. Pour mixture onto prepared cookie sheet. With wooden spoon, spread as thin as possible. Cool completely. Break cooled candy into pieces. Pack in decorative tins or bags tied with ribbon. Store in air tight container up to 1 month.
