1 cup buttermilk
2 tablespoons melted butter
1 egg
1 cup white flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
2 tablespoons sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/3 semi-sweet chocolate chips
1/4 teaspoon salt

Directions:
Directions:
Beat the buttermilk, melted butter and egg together. Mix the dry ingredients thoroughly in a separate bowl. Add dry ingredients and vanilla to the liquid, stirring only to moisten. Stir in chocolate chips. Spoon onto a hot skillet, which has been lightly greased. Cook until bubbles appear, then turn over.
