1/2 c. butter (1 stick)
1 c. sugar
1 egg, beaten
1 tsp.vanilla
1 1/2 c. applesauce
2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. cloves
2 tsp. baking soda
1 c. raisin
1 c.walnuts, chopped
1 c.dates

Preheat oven to 350
Grease and flour cake pan set aside

In a medium bowl mix flour, cinnamon, cloves, baking soda, raisins, walnuts, dates together and set a side.

In a large bowl cream butter, sugar and eggs, then mix in the vanilla and applesauce. Add the dry ingredients gradually.

Put it in the cake pan and bake 25-30 minutes or untill a tooth pick comes out clean.
