1/2 c sugar
1 c flour
1 t baking powder
1/2 t salt
1/4 c margarine
1/4 c milk
1 c sugar
2 c blackberries

Directions:
Directions:
Beat together egg and 1/2 c sugar, set aside. Mix together flour, powder, and salt, set aside. Melt margarine in 8 x 8 in baking dish to coat it, pour margarine and egg into egg-sugar mixture and mix well. Stir in dry mixture, then add milk and mix well. Gently stir remaining sugar into black berries, place berries in baking dish or pan and heat for several minutes in 350 oven and pour batter over all. Return to oven and bake at 350 for about 30 minutes.
