1 3/4 c flour
2 tbsp cocoa
1/2 tsp salt
1 c chopped dates
1 c boiling water
1 tsp baking soda
1 c butter
1 c sugar
2 eggs, beaten
1 tbsp vanilla
1 c chopped nuts
1 (6oz) package chocolate chips

Directions:
Directions:
Sift flour cocoa and salt. Mix dates in boiling water and soda and cool. Cream butter and sugar beat until fluffy. Add eggs. Alternating flour and date mixture. Spread into 13X9 inch pan. Sprinkle with nuts and Chips. Bake at 350 for 45 minutes.
