7 # cucumbers
2 gal. water
2 c lime
2 quarts vinegar
4 1/2 lbs white sugar
1 T salt
lt. celery seed
1 T pickling spice
1 t whole cloves

Directions:
Directions:
Slice cucumbers in desired size. Mix well water and lime. Put cucumbers in solution and let stand 24 hrs. Drain off and rinse well. Cover with plain cold water for 3 hrs. Drain and put in mixture which may be made while soaking in cold water. Put rest of ingred. over cucumbers and let stand over night, boil about 40 min and seal in sterilized jars.
