4 c all bran
2 c 100% bran
1 t salt
2 c boiling water
1 qt. buttermilk
3 c sugar
1 c shortening (oil)
4 eggs
5 c flour
5 t soda

Directions:
Directions:
Combine brans, salt and stir in water. Add buttermilk. Cool to lukewarm. Cream sugar and shortening in a lge. bowl; add eggs one at a time and beat well with each addition. Stir into bran mixture, add flour with soda; stir just enough to dampen dry ingredients. Store in refrig. until ready to use. (will keep 4 weeks. when ready to use, preheat oven to 375. Fill muffin pans 2/3 full Bake 20-25 min.
