Cranberry-Orange Scones Recipe

2 c flour
1 tbsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
2 tbsp sugar
1 tbsp orange rind
1/2 c butter
2/3 c buttermilk
1 c dried cranberries
1 tbsp milk
1 tbsp sugar

Combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, sugar and orange rind.
Cut in butter, then add buttermilk and cranberries. Knead 5 or 6 turns Pat into 8 in round and cut into eight. Bake at 425 for 15 minutes.
Mix a tablespoon of milk with a tablespoon of sugar and brush the scones while still hot.
