6-8 oz. pasta (Linguine, bowties, or penne)
2 boneless, skinless chicken breast halves
1/2 Hillshire Farms Sausage
2 tsp. Cajun Seasoning
2 tbsp. butter
1 green bell pepper, diced
1/2 red bell pepper, diced
4 fresh mushrooms, sliced
1 green onion, sliced
1 1/2 c. heavy whipping cream or 3/4 c. half and half
1/4 tsp. dried basil
1/4 tsp. lemon pepper
1/4 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. garlic powder
1/8 tsp. ground black pepper
2 tbsp. finely shredded Parmesan Cheese

Bring a large pot of slightly salted water to a boil. Add pasta, cook for 8-10 minutes or until al dente, drain. Slice chicken into thin strips. Add chicken and cajun seasoning into bowl, turn to coat. In a large skillet, over med heat, sauté chicken in butter until no longer pink and juices run clear, about 5-7 minutes. Add sausage, bell peppers, mushrooms, and green onion, cook for 2-3 minutes. Reduce heat and stir in heavy cream or half and half. Season the sauce with basil, lemon pepper, salt, garlic powder, and ground black pepper and heat through. Let stand, covered, 10 minutes. In a large bowl, toss pasta with sauce. Sprinkle with Parmesan Cheese.
