6 cups mashed figs (about 9 heaping cups of whole figs) 6 cups sugar 4 small or two large packages strawberry-flavored gelatin. 1/2 lemon, sliced
Add sugar, gelatin and lemon to figs. Bring slowly to a boil. Boil for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally. Fill sterilized jars to within 1/2 inch of top and seal. Process in boiling water bath canner for 10 minutes.
