2 large refrigerated vidalia onions sliced 1/4 inch thick and seperate
1 1/2 cups plain flour
1/2 cup cornmeal
1 cup buttermilk
2 tbsp season salt
1 tbsp garlic salt
Pepper to taste
optional Cayenne pepper

Directions:

Mix flour, cornmeal, and seasonings. Dip onions in buttermilk then coat with flour mixture Drop in hot oil cook until brown on one side then use fork to flip onion in the oil to brown on the other side. Drain onions on paper towel serve hot
