1 c sugar
1/2 c margarine, softened
2 eggs
1 tsp baking soda (dissolved in 1/2 c hot water)
3 - 4 mashed bananas (approx 1 cup)
1 3/4 c flour
1/3 c Maraschino cherries (optional)
1/3 c Chocolate Chips (optional)
1/3 c nuts (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Mix all ingredients together. Pour into greased and floured loaf pans. Bake at 350 for 1 hour. Optional for fruit bread: Use cherry juice for some of hot water, cut cherries in half, add chocolate chips and nuts.
