1 small head lettuce
1 onion, chopped
1 c finely chopped celery
1 c grated carrots
1 box frozen peas, uncooked
2 c real mayonnaise or miracle whip
3 tbsp sugar, sprinkled over mayonnaise
1 jar bacon bits
grated cheddar cheese

Directions:
Directions:
In a 9 X 13 inch pan with lid, place a layer of torn lettuce. Layer remaining ingredients in order given.
Cover and refrigerate at least 12 hours before serving. Leave layered, do not stir.
