1# lean ground beef
1 large onion (sliced thin)
6 med potatoes (peeled and sliced thin)
1 can of condensed vegetable soup
1/2 can of water in soup can.......about 5 oz

Directions:
Directions:
In a large skillet with cover.......crumble half the beef in bottom of the pan then add 1/2 the potatoes and 1/2 the onions. Finish the next layer in the same order and add salt and pepper to taste.
Open the soup and dump the cans contents on top....add half the water that the soup calls for. Cover and cook on med heat for about 30 min.
I used this a lot raising four kids and working....

Grandma Dorothy(McMillan) Lake used to fix this when she stayed in Flint. I think she may have used this when she was a cook in the Trout Lake Schools.
