1-1/4 c. sugar
1 lg cn evaporated milk
6 egg yolks
2 carton whipping cream
6 bananas
1/3 c. cornstarch (or may use flour)
3-1/2 c. homogenized milk
1 t. vanilla
1 box vanilla wafers

Directions:
Directions:
In double boiler combine sugar and cornstarch. Add evaporated and homogenized milk. Cook, stirring at intervals until thickened, approximately 15 to 20 minutes. Separate eggs (do not use whites). Beat yolks until creamy and light yellow in color. Add to pudding mixture and blend thoroughly (may use electric hand mixer). Cook approximately 10 minutes longer. Beat two cartons of whipping cream adding three or four tablespoons of sugar until cream thickens. Using a large casserole dish, alternate layers of vanilla wafers, sliced bananas, pudding mixture and top with whipping cream. Sprinkle a few wafer crumbs on to to enhance appearance.
