2 c. sugar
1/2 c. cocoa
1/2 c. flour
1/2 stick butter
3 c. milk
6 eggs
1 t. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Mix well sugar, cocoa and flour. Add well-beaten egg yolks and milk. Cook until thick, then remove from fire and add butter and vanilla, beating until smooth. Pour into baked pie shells (makes 2 pies). Top with meringue. Bake at 300 15-20 minutes.

This is a recipe handed down in my mother's family. It can also be made in a pan without crust and topped with the meringue.
