3/4 cup butter or margarine (softened)
1 cup granulated sugar
1 egg
1/4 cup pineapple preserves
2 1/4 cup sifted all purpose flour
1 tsp soda
1/2 tsp salt

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter and sugar until light. Beat in egg and preserves. Sift together dry ingredients and add to the butter mixture. (Mix thoroughly) Drop from teaspoon 2 inches apart on a greased cookie sheet. Bake at 375º for 10 minutes. Cool 1 or 2 minutes and remove from pan. Top with preserve and a walnut half just before serving.
