1 large lean Chuck Steak cut into serving pieces
1 large onion, sliced
1 medium can whole tomatoes, mashed with a fork
Salt and Pepper to taste
Cooking Oil (preferably Canola)
Cooked Noodles or Rice

Directions:
Directions:
Brown Chuck Steak on both sides in a large skillet. After browning, drain all excess oil and drippings. Arrange steak in the bottom of the skillet. Add sliced onion and mashed tomatoes.

Cover and cook until the steak and tomatoes are cooked.

Serve steak with Noodles or Boiled Rice.

This recipe is included in the cookbook Frank Filippo wrote for his Mom, my Aunt Marion Filippo. I remember my Mom, Angie Cassara (Grandma Angie), making this at least once a week for quite a while. We really enjoyed it. My Dad was a beef eater, so anything prepared with beef was his favorite dinner (outside of a good dish of pasta!)
