5-6 Boneless Chicken breasts
2 quarts water
2 t salt
1/2 t pepper
2 C All purpose flour
1/2 t baking soda
1/2 t salt
3 T Crisco
3/4 C buttermilk

Directions:
Directions:
Place chicken in dutch oven. Add water and 2 t salt. Bring to a boil. Cover, reduce heat, and simmer 1 hour. Remove chicken and let cool. Bone the chicken and cut into bite size pieces. Bring broth to a boil and add pepper.
Combine flour, baking soda, and salt. Cut in Crisco. Add the buttermilk, stirring with a fork until moistened. Knead dough 4-5 times and pat to 1/2 inch thickness. Pinch off dough into 1 1/2 inch pieces and drop into boiling broth. Reduce heat to med-low, and cook for 8-10 mins., stirring occasionally. Stir in chicken, and serve.
