2 c. flour
1 tsp. salt (optional or taste)
4 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. pepper (optional)
1 beaten egg
3 T. butter, oil, lard which ever you prefer
2/3 c. milk

Directions:
Directions:
Mix together in mixing bowl. Using tablesppon for dumpling size can be dropped into hot liquid such as saurerkraut with pork or hot dogs, or you can put cooked apple chunks in and use for a dessert. Can be dropped into stews cooked on top of stove or in oven made roasts. Cook in covered pot for 15 to 18 minutes.
