1 8-oz. pkg no-sugar-added low-fat chocolate cake mix,
1 4-serving-size pkg sugar-free instant chocolate pudding mix,
2 c. skim milk,
1 lb. fresh or frozen pitted dark sweet cherries,
2 c. frozen fa-tree whipped dessert topping, thawed,
Unsweetened cocoa powder (optional)

1. Prepare cake mix according to package directions. Cool cake in pan on wire rack for 10 minutes, remove from pan. Cut cake into 1-inch pieces. Meanwhile prepare pudding mix according to package directions sing the 2 cups skim milk. Cover and chill about 30 minutes or until set. Thaw cherries, if frozen, drain well.

2. In 3-quar: t glass trifle bowl, layer half of the cake, cherries, pudding and whipped topping. Repeat layers. If desired, sprinkle with cocoa powder. 16 servings

Per serving: 102 cal, 1 g total fat, 22 g carb.

This is a diebetic recipe that I used for a Heart Healthy Cookoff. But if calories or fats aren't a problem you could substitute the cake for brownies
