1 1/2 C. ORIGINAL BISQUICK
2/3 C. SUGAR
1/2 C. MILK
2 MED. COOKING APPLES, PEELED & SLICED (2 CUPS)
1 TBSP. LEMON JUICE
3/4 C. PACKED BROWN SUGAR
1/2 TSP. CINNAMON
1 C. BOILING WATER
SWEETENED WHIPPED TOPPING OR ICE CREAM, IF DESIRED

HEAT OVEN TO 350. MIX BISQUICK AND SUGAR IN MEDIUM BOWL. STIR IN MILK UNTIL BLENDED. POUR INTO UNGREASED SQUARE PAN 9 X 9. TOP WITH APPLES; SPRINKLE WITH LEMON JUICE. STIR TOGETHER BROWN SUGAR AND CINNAMON; SPRINKLE OVER APPLES. POUR OVER BOILING WATER OVER APPLES. BAKE 50-60 MINUTES OR UNTIL TOOTHPICK INSERTED IN CENTER COMES OUT CLEAN. SERVE WARM AND TOP WITH WHIPPED TOPPING OR ICE CREAM.
