1 chicken, cut up (3 - 4 lbs)
2 tablespoons oil
1/3 cup soy sauce
2 tablespoons brown sugar
2 tablespoons water
1 clove, garlic, minced
1 teaspoon ginger

Directions:
Directions:
In skillet, brown chicken in oil on both sides. Transfer to slow cooker.

Combine soy sauce, brown sugar, water, garlic and ginger; pour over chicken. Cover and cook on high for 1 hour. Reduce heat to low; cook 4-5 hours longer.

Remove chicken, thicken sauce and spoon over chicken.
