1 cup vegetable shortening
1 stick butter or margarine
3 cups sugar
4 heaping tsp. cocoa
1 tsp. baking powder
3 cups sifted AP flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
1 cup milk
5 eggs

Directions:
Directions:
Cream margarine, shortening and sugar well. Blend in egg, one at a time.

Sift dry ingredients together and add alternately with milk.

Grease and line with wax paper a 8" tube pan.

Bake at 325 for 1 1/2 hours.

Frost with favorite icing.
