1/4 cup crisco oil
1 lb round steak, cut into strips
1 medium onion, thinly sliced
1 TBS cornstarch
1/2 cup cold water
2 TBS soy sauce
1 tsp sugar
1 tsp garlic salt
1/4 tsp black pepper

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oil in wok at 325. Add meat and brown. Remove to serving dish. Add onion and pepper slices and cook until tender. Dissolve cornstarch in water and soy sauce. Add sugar, garlic salt and pepper. Pour into wok with vegetables, stirring until sauce is thickened and clear. Add meat and cook several minutes longer or until heated through. Serve over hot rice.
