6 large Peppers, red or green; 1 lb. defrosted Ground Beef; 1/2c. grated Onion; 3 tbsp. Raw Rice; 1 Egg, beaten; 2 tbsp. cold Water; 2 1/2 tsp. Salt; 1/2 tsp. Pepper; 2 tbsp. Oil; 1c. chopped Onion; 1 29oz. can Tomatoes, undrained and corsely chopped; 3 tbsp. Lemon Juice; 3 tbsp. Sugar.

Cut 1" piece from pepper stem and save. Scoop out seeds. Mix meat, grated onion, rice, egg, water, salt, and pepper. Stuff peppers and replace tops. Heat oil in large saucepan and saute chopped onion. Add canned tomatoes and remaining salt & pepper in in pan. Arrange peppers in pan; cover and cook on low for 45 minutes. Stir in lemon juice and sugar; cover and cook another 30 minutes, basting frequently with the juice. Serve over Jasmine Rice (cooked in chicken broth)
